Cityscapes of Charlotte - A New Series

Here is my new series of Charlotte Cityscapes. The series has 10 paintings. The entire series are 8 x 10 monoprints on paper with watercolor and colored pencil. The above painting is the Common Market in South End. They have the best pimento cheese sandwich in town! It's great how you can see through the building structure. All paintings are $190 plus shipping. Three have already found new homes in private collections.

Camp North End at dusk. The water tower at Camp North End is massive. I need to do a paintings of the Gamma Goat truck from the Army located on the property.

Charlotte Mono-prints - a New Set of Ten in progress

Returning to my continued observation of Charlotte through mon-prints. I am doing a set of 10. Here are the 1st three. The one above is from NODA looking south to uptown. The moon was actually in the sky that night. The monoprints have layers of watercolor paint and colored pencil on top. I work really fast when I am dong these.

This is in South End at Flower Child restaurant, formerly Phat Burrito, looking north to uptown Charlotte.

This is at Atherton Mill during a light up the Rail Trail show.

Urban Landscape Charlotte

For a landlocked city, Charlotte has fantastic colorful sunsets. I painted night urban landscapes for over a decade in Charlotte's South End historic district. Watercolor on paper.

Drawings at Wooden Robot Brewery

This drawing from my Weight Series of figure drawings is on display at the Wooden Robot Brewery. The Brewery is located on Bland Street just off South Tryon. The painting hangs right across from the bar.  They have awesome beer in addition to the art! This drawing is 6 feet tall on paper. I used graphite and white charcoal as teh mediums. I drew from a live model.
