Mechanical Drawings
These are so fun to do. This is a combination of two drawings. The fins on this submarine are great! A plane shoots off the front. WOW! The 1970s were fantastic!
Charleston Memories Progress
The painting is progressing along. The low country grass is 90% complete. The sky and light house are complete. I have begun work on the boat rigging. I now have to work on the foreground tree branches and plants.

Charleston Memories Painting Process
Drawing complete in red conte pencil.
Under painting begun. Small sketch show in foreground.
Under-painting 90% complete.
First layer of color begun.
Color chart showing the desired color of some of the swamp grass. Still working on 1st layer.
Second layer of color begun. Added orange and red to boat. Boat height shortened.
Far background tree line color re-worked. Anchor added to front of boat. Sky lightened.
Anchor removed, I did not like it. Also it was not in the sketch. Dark greens added to foreground trees. Yellows added to foreground grass.

Charleston Memories Step 2
I am showing the process in completing this painting: Charleston Memories. This is an acrylic painting on canvas, 3 feet by 5 feet. Here is the under painting about half complete. I have not worked on the boat rigging at all.
