Spend your last few weekends in the cool North Georgia mountains at a fun Inn with cool art and antiques. We are! In the area are fun hikes, a bunch of wineries, good restaurants and rafting.
Spent last weekend at Elkin Trail days. I added to my hiking sketch book for this year. I use several mediums in my sketch book: graphite, color pencil and watercolor. I hike along the MST, Mountain to Sea Trail, the Blue Ridge Parkway and other trails. Many of these are from the MST section beginning at Grassy Creek Wintery to Carter Falls north of Elkin NC.
This three hour class will give you the skills to create a sketch book. Join artist Will Bosbyshell, as he provides lessons, tips and demonstrates how to quickly sketch the beautiful scenery you encounter while hiking and walking . The class includes a small sketch book and will show you how to use color pencils to draw during your walking adventure or after from photos. This class will be held on the roof top of Three Trails Boutique Hotel. Down the street from the Yadkin Valley Fiber Center at 101 West Main Street. Elkin, NC.

These banners are a combination of art and memories. The art is from Wil and Maura Bosbyshell. Maura provides her fiber art. Wil contributes his Tree drawings. The quotes are memories gathered at past installations of the Climate Conversations: Memory Tree exhibit. Some of the memories are sad, others moving and some are just fun.
